Account and Organization Management

Understand personal settings, organization administration, roles, modules, billing, alerts, and connected services.

CapitalOS separates settings that belong to an individual account from settings that affect an entire organization. This distinction helps users know when a change is personal and when it can influence other members, shared data, permissions, or connected systems.

Personal account settings

The personal account area includes general account information and security controls. Depending on eligibility, it can also include MCP access and billing information. Destructive account actions are isolated in a Danger Zone and should only be used after understanding their permanent impact.

Organization settings

Organization settings provide the shared administration surface. Available areas can include General, Members, Roles, Modules, Integrations, Alerts, Email Settings, Billing, supplier collaboration, and a separate Danger Zone. What you see depends on your role, enabled modules, plan, and organization configuration.

Members, roles, and modules

Members identifies who belongs to the organization. Roles define what groups of users are allowed to do, while Modules controls which CapitalOS areas are available to the organization. Administrative access is required for role and module changes.

Use the smallest role that supports a person’s responsibilities. After changing access, verify the result with the affected workflow rather than assuming every screen uses the same permission.

Shared service settings

Integrations connects external commerce, advertising, email, and Slack services. Alerts controls supported operational delivery. Email Settings configures organization communication behavior. Other module-specific settings can manage items such as categories, columns, or transaction fees.

Billing and sensitive actions

Billing visibility depends on the organization and account context. Changes involving plans, access, external connections, or a Danger Zone can affect multiple users. Confirm the active organization, intended scope, and recovery options before continuing.
