IntegrationsIntegrations

Integrations

Connect CapitalOS with commerce, advertising, email, and team-notification services.

What this module does

Integrations connects an organization’s external systems to supported CapitalOS workflows. The management view groups services by connected, available, and coming-soon status and provides the relevant setup or management controls.

Current integration areas include Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, Nylas, and Slack. Their data supports different parts of the product and operations workflow.

When to use it

Use Integrations when CapitalOS should synchronize store products or orders, bring advertising evidence into performance analysis, connect an organization email account, or deliver supported alerts to Slack.

Review the purpose and required account access before connecting a service. A connection should have a clear organizational owner and business use.

How it fits into CapitalOS

Shopify supports commerce data such as products, variants, stores, and orders. Meta and Google Ads provide advertising context used in supported performance and ROAS workflows. Nylas powers synchronized email experiences in Communications. Slack supports team notifications and module-specific channel delivery.

The availability and behavior of each integration can depend on organization settings, subscription, external account permissions, and synchronization state.

Main concepts

  • Connected integration: an external service currently authorized for the organization.
  • Available integration: a supported service that can be configured.
  • Coming soon: a service visible in the interface but not yet available for connection.
  • External account: the store, advertising, email, or workspace account being authorized.
  • Synchronization: the process that imports or refreshes supported external data.
  • Connection health: the current usability of the external authorization and sync.
  • Channel mapping: the Slack destination selected for supported module alerts.

Typical workflow

  1. Open organization settings and select Integrations.
  2. Review connected, available, and coming-soon services.
  3. Choose an available service and confirm its intended CapitalOS use.
  4. Authenticate with an external account that has the required permissions.
  5. Complete any service-specific selection or configuration.
  6. Allow initial synchronization or backfill to finish when applicable.
  7. Verify the expected data or delivery inside the related CapitalOS module.
  8. Return to integration management to review status or reconnect when authorization is no longer valid.

Permissions and prerequisites

Integration management requires organization administrative access. You also need sufficient permission in the external service. Use organization-owned accounts where appropriate and follow your company’s credential and access policies.

Connection success does not guarantee that all historical data is immediately available. Initial synchronization, backfill, data matching, and external API limits can affect timing and coverage.
